North West Student Art Prize

CIMPA is pleased to announce Marielle Hehir as the winner of the North West Student Art Prize 2009. Attached is a copy of one the images Marielle entered into the competition, entitled Blue Ruin (detail a). Marielle won because of her vibrant explosion and use of colour and designs, which resemble a new but refined form of abstract graffiti. She graduated from Manchester Met in 2009 with a BA Fine Art Painting and lives in Manchester. This year’s prize Sponsor is Fred Aldous Art Supplies Ltd.

The Center for Islamic Architectural Heritage Conservation at the Islamic University Gaza, Palestine is to organize an international conference on architectural heritage conservation: Networking for partnership between Europe and Islamic World to celebrate World Heritage Day 18 April 2010.
